Floor Underlayment

LAMINATE FLOORS

Switch to Aerogel Insulation for improved comfort and up to 20% in savings compared to traditional laminate flooring underlayments such as rock wool or polyethylene foam.

TILE FLOORS

Ditch your traditional uncoupling membrane under tile surfaces, which are poor insulators (low R-value). Use modified thin-set mortar to adhere Aerogel Insulation between tile and wood subfloors.

CONCRETE SUBFLOORS

Insulate above or within concrete subfloors with Aerogel Insulation for improved energy performance. Perfect for basements with limited height restrictions, especially where installing radiant heating and/or cooling systems.

Wall Insulation

Existing Walls

Improve comfort and prevent energy loss with Aerogel Insulation over existing walls. Perfect for protecting concrete foundations from water damage with a breathable membrane.

INTERIOR WALLS

  Aerogel Wall Insulation

Staple Aerogel Insulation to the back of gypsum board or drywall and use insulation interior walls for soundproofing and fireproofing between rooms while also saving on energy.

Exterior Walls

Use Aerogel Insulation as a breathable thermal break over brick or other exterior wall surfaces and finish with a layer of plywood and/or drywall. Perfect for heritage buildings and net-zero energy retrofits.

Roof & Ceiling Insulation

EXISTING CEILINGS

Aerogel Insulation is perfect for ceilings with curvature, but also existing drywall surfaces as as a backing material. Save on energy and prevent spread of fire leading to structural damage.

SUSPENDED CEILINGS

Add Aerogel Insulation as a backing material to suspended ceiling panels or new drywall. Save on energy, protect against fire, and prevent water damage or fungal growth from leaking pipes.

ROOFS

Install Aerogel Insulation as interior backing material for plywood, or as roofing membrane above and between roofing shingles to improve building envelope and protect against fire.

Save time, money & space with thinner insulation

Reduce carbon emissions and save the environment

Benefit from fire protection, energy savings & more

Offered a better thermal break to help achieve the desired building envelope for our client.”
